A subdivided long lounge was made more inviting by including lighter toned furniture and opening up the scheme.

The owners of this home only visited periodically, so it had become a pied a terre until their daughter took up permanent residence. This room is an immense, bright space with high ceilings and is flooded with light courtesy of 4 large sash windows overlooking the sea, but it had grown tired since installed by the developer...

Having downsized from a large Corbridge property the owners of this house could not agree on décor or which furniture to retain. I had a mixed brief of a cozy cottage feel for their living areas, while also retaining a sense of the wow factor. These two adjoining rooms had immense potential, but were stuck with a bad layout and flow configuration.

Décor befitting a classic country house was combined with clever lighting and deep colours.  Texture was added by reupholstering and upcycling furniture to great effect.

Old wine boxes were upcycled for storage in this boot room and painted in the same Farrow and Ball's colours. Reclaimed school hooks add a sense of history.
